Jor-Al is prudent in sourcing products from companies overseas that respect and maintain an ethical supply chain. From proper waste management, hygiene, full ethical labour practice and proper working hours, age of workers, and fair wages. We firmly request that our factories comply with these high standards. All products we produce must be socially audited by INTERTEK AND/OR BSCI. All products must be either certified by Oeko-Tex, SGS testing, UL, FOOD GRADE SAFE, TUV, SEDEX or ICTI testing certifications. The type of certification we require will depend on the products being requested. For example, all textiles we import must be OEKO-TEX certified but the factory must also be socially audited. Joral-Imports Inc. strictly enforces these certifications and our in-house inspection team makes sure all certifications are up to date. Major corporate companies today require this certification from both domestic and overseas factories.
